Dr Andrew Wines is an orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon with extensive experience in reconstructive, arthroscopic, minimally invasive and trauma surgery. As a Director of SOFARI, he brings decades of clinical expertise and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for patients with foot and ankle conditions through high-quality research, long-term follow-up and evidence-based surgical care.

Dr Michael Symes is an orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty expertise in foot and ankle surgery, complex lower limb trauma and reconstruction. As a Director of SOFARI, he is committed to advancing clinically relevant research, strengthening outcome measurement, and supporting collaborative studies that improve understanding of recovery, function and patient outcomes after foot and ankle treatment.

Dr Aaron Beach is a biomechanics and clinical research specialist with experience across movement analysis, musculoskeletal research, clinical outcomes and research governance. As Head of Research at SOFARI, he leads the development of research systems, clinical registries, patient-reported outcome measurement, data analysis and research translation to support evidence-based improvements in foot and ankle care.
